  Went last night for 4th time with a large group. Was forced to pay £25 to join in with rest of group for taster menu which was disappointing compared to previous visits. Although you get 5 courses, the first was essentially a potato extra, each bowl is much smaller than normal dishes from menu. I can see why I was not allowed to order my own plates as I would have got more that the rest of the guests on the table and the disparity would have been obvious. Also meat eaters were disappointed that their menu contained no vegetables. Just because people enjoy meat, doesn't mean they want 4 courses of it without anything veggie! Also found it weird that there was a veggie and non veggie desert, why segregate when there are many gelatin alternatives? Desert was just a slice of nicely fried and spiced pineapple with some water coconut milk mouse. Taster menu - not recommended.

  Somehow the guys have managed to open up a contemporary bar and restaurant, serve up quality small-plates and damn fine cocktails, make it look cool as f... and yet it still feels like Bristol. You've got the option to have a few small-plates and a drink, keep it cheap and enjoy the buzz or go all out and treat yourself. The wine list is long enough to keep you coming back and the plates are well thought out, unique and real tasty.
