    I recently bought a Volvo from Martin for £7795, I paid the asking price as Martin had said that he'd do some work on the car and service and clean it (it had some badly fixed damage at front, needed a service and some bad knocking noises etc). Martin was incredibly helpful, we did a deal where by he'd do the work and then deliver the car to me (I live some distance from Bristol). When the car was delivered, it had clearly not been cleaned and the body work had not been fixed despite this having been agreed. We agreed to knock £100 off of the price, not enough to fix the problem but I accepted it regardless. It still had terrible noises coming from the suspension, Martin tried to convince me that all estate cars suffer with bad knocking and squeaks etc which I knew wasn't correct. The tires went flat every couple of days (leaking from the wheels, which clearly need a refurb but guess Martin had just been topping these up with air to save spending money). It clearly had not been serviced (the window wipers were so bad that they damaged the windscreen within the first week, I had to pay for new wipers and then a scratch removal specialist. Shortly after the service light came on as it was due the oil change/service that was supposed to have been done but clearly hadn't been. The front electric windows are temperamental, often the car wont start when pushing the start button (you have to keep taking the key out and trying again), there is a long list of problems, I've either sorted myself or need to. When I bought the car Martin told me that my warranty was fully inclusive, with no limits and that I could take it to a local garage and anything required would be sorted. I've had to chase him non stop to get anything looked at, he's only ever agreed to part fix some of the things wrong (I've had to pay for most of it myself). The whole time he complains that he doesn't want to spend any money and he'll only fit secondhand parts etc. One minute he tells you he uses a warranty company, then that he does it in-house. Then he'll say that the warranty is only if the car completely brakes down and nothing else is included.

    In all I've ended up spending a lot of money sorting problems that should have been fixed under warranty.

    Martin will tell you and agree to anything, until you hand over your money.

    If the car goes wrong, don't expect these guys to fix it !
